About Us
Lakeland Training was set up in 2005 by its director and principal trainer, Kate Lakeland.
Kate is a certified Microsoft Office Master Instructor and holds the internationally recognised European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) and the ITQ Level 2 qualification.
A graduate with a first class honours degree in French and Spanish, Kate qualified as a teacher in 2001 and enjoyed a successful career at a large comprehensive school. As well as public sector experience, Kate has also experienced life in a corporate environment through her work with the financial services giant, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where she was part of a specialist team dealing with mergers and acquistions.
Lakeland Training have provided IT training for a range of corporate clients in the South of England as well as to a number of individual private clients. Kate has also delivered IT training on behalf of international training providers, Synergy, whose many high profile clients include the Ministry of Defence, the NHS and Barclays Bank.
Kate also delivers training to private clients, whether complete beginners or experienced computer users looking to perfect their skills.
Among other projects, Kate has also updated marketing literature for the international consultancy firm, Proem Consulting Ltd (www.proem.co.uk) as well as acting as a facilitator for Proem's management training courses.
